An informal meeting was held, with Paul McShane, Karen Hollamby and Barry Evans in attendance, to clarify certain issues raised in Industry Discussion Paper 2. As a result of this, and further deliberations by industry, a new version of the discussion paper was produced (see below).
Joint Steering Group Meeting
The SGWCPFA, PIRSA and CCSA steering committees met jointly in July 2009 to discuss the revised industry discussion paper with a view to progressing towards a consensual statement on the way forward for co-management in the fishery.
There was considerable further out-of-session discussion following on from this meeting, culminating in a final version of a joint Steering Committee paper on the preferred co-management model for the fishery:
